Colorado Spings' Broadmoor, Old Broadmoor, and Broadmoor Hills neighborhoods are famous for The Broadmoor Hotel, a huge, early-1900s resort with high-end restaurants, casual cafes, luxury shops, and golf courses. Golf championships have been held at The Broadmoor Golf Club since 1921. The opulence of The Broadmoor inspired other luxury properties to surround it, resulting in a timeless neighborhood.
The Colorado Springs School is a 60 year college-preparatory, day, and international school. The iconic Trianon home, built for Charles and Virginia Baldwin in 1906, will regally be at the head of the festival which will be held on the grassy Quad of the campus. The Baldwins hired local architect Thomas MacLaren to create a spacious residence deliberately scaled down from the Grand Trianon at Versailles. Just Google "The Colorado Springs School Trianon" to see the awe inspiring location.
The entire area is called Broadmoor. In 1881, William Willcox moved to the area from Pennsylvania and thought the combination of mountains and terrain resembled the Broadmoors of Scotland. The surrounding area is popular for its hiking trails and multiple waterfalls that flow into a sheer-sided box canyon at Seven Falls.
Avg Home Price = $1,205,012. 47% of the homes have 9 or more rooms. Average Home Size = 4,410 sq. ft.
The average annual household income in Broadmoor is $124,351. Those between 45 and 64 years old have a median wage of $97,612.
Rated as an executive lifestyle "best choice" neighborhood for Colorado, a majority of the adults in the Broadmoor neighborhood are wealthy and educated executives. They own stately homes that tend to maintain high real estate appreciation rates. Their upper-level careers keep them busy, but allow them to live comfortably. 72.6% of adults here have received at least a 4-year bachelor's degree, The rate here is higher than 95.6% of all U.S. neighborhoods.
