About Colorado Springs’ Broadmoor Neighborhood
The Broadmoor neighborhood in Colorado Springs is an affluent residential area renowned for its historic charm and opulent mansions. This distinguished community provides the ideal setting and audience for a fine art festival. Encompassing the Broadmoor, Old Broadmoor, and Broadmoor Hills neighborhoods, the area is anchored by The Broadmoor Hotel—a landmark luxury resort established in the early 1900s. The hotel features high-end restaurants, casual cafes, upscale retail, and world-class golf courses. Since 1921, The Broadmoor Golf Club has hosted prestigious golf championships, further cementing the area’s reputation for luxury and refinement. The surrounding luxury properties reflect the same timeless appeal, creating a distinguished environment for art and culture.
The Colorado Springs School is a 60 year college-preparatory, day, and international school. The iconic Trianon home, built for Charles and Virginia Baldwin in 1906, will regally be at the head of the festival which will be held on the grassy Quad of the campus. The Baldwins hired local architect Thomas MacLaren to create a spacious residence deliberately scaled down from the Grand Trianon at Versailles. Just Google "The Colorado Springs School Trianon" to see the awe inspiring location.
The entire area is called Broadmoor. In 1881, William Willcox moved to the area from Pennsylvania and thought the combination of mountains and terrain resembled the Broadmoors of Scotland. The surrounding area is popular for its hiking trails and multiple waterfalls that flow into a sheer-sided box canyon at Seven Falls.
Target Demographic
The Broadmoor neighborhood is recognized as an executive lifestyle "best choice" area in Colorado, attracting affluent, educated professionals. Residents are typically successful executives whose careers allow for a comfortable and luxurious lifestyle. The neighborhood's stately homes and established wealth contribute to a refined, discerning audience, ideal for an upscale fine art festival.
